Tips to watch your weight:


1. Exercise helps keep off excess weight. Exercise consistently at least for 15-30 minutes a day to improve blood flow throughout the body , boost energy and reduces stress.


2. Take sufficient sleep duration is also vital. One research shown sleep duration has impact on body weight.

'Sleep duration was determined from a questionnaire and the participants were classified into three groups: short sleepers slept five to six hours a night, the average got seven to eight hours, and the long sleepers put in nine to 10 hours of sleep every night.

Findings of the research:
a) Over six years, short sleepers were 35% more likely to gain 11 pounds than average-duration sleepers.



b)Over the same time period, long sleepers were 25% more likely to gain 11 pounds than average-duration sleepers.

c)Short sleepers gained 58% more around their waists and 124% more body fat than the average sleeper.

WHY DON'T CATS LIKE TO SWIM?

Many people think that cats are afraid of water. THey're not. Occasionally, one can see a cat pounce spontaneously into the water.Nature Documentary fans can attest to the fact that many of cats larger relatives, such as tigers and jaguars, love to swim.

Jaguars are even known to dive into rivers and streams and attack alligators. Abandoned house cats will dive into water to do a little fishing.




So why isn't your cat likely to stick a paw into your pool? For the same reasons your cat always drives you nuts : it has a cleanliness fetish, and its lazy. IT wont get wet because it figures that it is worth the effort needed to dry and clean itself with its tongue to enjoy something as superficial as a marine frolic. Unless you starve it and stock your pool with fish, your cat is likely to remain landlocked.

2. Get the gym bag ready. Whether you go to the gym or run in the neighborhood , have your exercise gear out and ready to throw on for when you wake up. Getting your clean clothes together and ready is a life hack lots of entrepreneurs use to minimize the risk of skipping their workout.

It only takes a minute to lay out your gear, but it’s a great shortcut for making sure you get your fitness in every morning. Taking care of your health is an important part of the entrepreneurial lifestyle.


3. Turn off your phone. Sleep is a crucial part of the successful entrepreneur’s healthy lifestyle. Once you've checked your calendar and you know what’s ahead for tomorrow, put the phone on silent or turn it off to ensure it doesn't beep, chime or ring and disturb your REM cycle. Disruptions to your sleep will leave you tired and slow your performance.

To keep your productivity at its highest level, make sure you eliminate any hindrances to your sleep cycle. That email or text message can wait until tomorrow. Turn off your phone or put it on silent to ensure a good night’s sleep.

4. Write in your journal. No, not the “dear diary” kind of entries. Keeping a journal is a practice that can help you process the day and make sense of your thoughts. Keep your journal in the nightstand and every night take a few minutes to review the day’s triumphs and write down what you're grateful for that day.

Don't make this a boring, unthoughtful experience. Think of it as a nightly meditation -- just two minutes of reflection thinking about the day’s highlights and writing them down will transform your waking and sleeping thought. It’s part of a wealthy lifestyle to appreciate all the great things of the day: doors held open, great conversations had. 

Whatever the highlight, list it and prepare your mind for great sleep.

5. Read a real book. One last thing to contribute to your good sleep is to read a quality book. You can decide what a quality book is to you, but reading before bed is a great way to make that final transition into sleep.

It will also keep you away from bright lights and electronics (hint: don’t read on your phone or tablet, the light might disrupt your eyes and affect your sleep cycle) and soothe your body into the sleeping process.






CHAPPED LIPS

Our lips are so exposed to sun, wind and other irritants , yet they don't have oil glands to keep them soft and moist. Nor do they contain much melanin, the pigment in our skin that allow us to tan and offers some protection from the sun. No wonder lips can become as parched and cracked as old shoe leather. Please give your lips some protection.

Bring out the lip balm
-Several of natural based on beeswax are available from health food shops, pharmacies, gift shops and online. Always coat your lips with balm before you go out to keep the elements at bay.

-Some people swear by Cocoa Butter to relieve chapped lips (It also works on chapped hands). Apply four or five times a day, or more often if your lips are very dry.

-A handy home remedies olive oil or vegetable shortening, which can effectively soften and moisture chapped lips.

-Puncture vitamin E capsule and apply the oil to your lips.

-Petroleum jelly , such as Vaseline , is an old-fashioned and effective chapped lips remedy. 

- If your lips continue chapped, drink eight 250ml glasses of water a day-more if u can. While this won't prevent dryness, it will keep it from getting worst.




Take a good care of your lips. 

The power of prevention
-Apply a balm with a Sun Protection Factor (SPF) of at least 15 before you go out into the sun. Lips need just as much sun protection as the rest of your skin. (Caution: stop using the balm if your lips turn red and itchy. Some people have an allergic reaction to lip balms that contain sunscreen).

-A dark, creamy lipstick helps to protect lips from the sun it will also keep moisture in.

-When indoor air is very dry, prevent chapped lips by running a humidifier in your bedroom while you sleep.

-Try eating more food that are rich in B vitamins, such as meat, fish, whole grains,nuts and leafy green vegetables. A lack of B vitamins contributes to chapped lips in some people.

-Avoid licking your lips. Your saliva will momentarily provide a coating of moisture, but it evaporates quickly, leaving lips drier than before.And the saliva contains digestive  enzymes that fry out tissue and result in chapping.

-Stay away from balms that that contain phenol and champor. These antiseptics can be very drying. Also, take note of any sensitivities to flavoring  and fragrance agents, which may trigger or worsen chapping. Its not unusual for chewing gum, sweets effect on lips.

- Dont give a child flavored lip balms. Children tend to lick the flavours varieties straight off their lips, which further aggravates the chapping.


Whats wrong? Your lips are dry, irritated and cracked. They may be sore or they may ithch. Dry lips can result from both dry and cold winter weather, sunburn, allergic reactions , having a raised temperature or simply licking your lips too often.

WHO PUT E ON THE TOP OF THE EYE CHART ? AND WHY?


Have u ever think who was the introducer or inventor for the eye chart? Here are some points to share. Hermann Snellen , a Dutch professor of ophthalmology, put the E on top of the eye chart in 1862. Although his very first chart was headed by an A, Snellen quickly composed another chart with E on the top.

Snellen succeeded Dr Frans Cornelis Donders as Director of the Netherlands Hospital for Eye Patients. Donders was then the world's foremost authority on geometric optic.Snellen was trying to standardise a test to diagnose visual acuity , to measure how small an image an eye can accept while still detecting the detail of that image. 


Donders's complicated formulas were based on three parallel lines, of all the letters of tha alphabert ,the capital E most closely resembled the lines that Fonders had studied so intensively .Because Donders had earlierst determined how the eyes preceivers the E, Snellen based mush of his methamatical work on the fifth letter. 


The three horizontal limbs of the E are saperated by an equal amount of white space. In Snellen'soriginal chart , there was a ont-to-one ratio between the height and width of the letters, and the gaps and bars were all the same lenth (in some moden eye charts, the middle bar is shorter). Louanne Gould of Cambridge Instruments says that the E, unlike more open letters like L or U, forces the observers to distinguish between white and black, an important constituent of good vision. Without this ability, Es begin to look like Bs, Fs, Ps or many other letters. 


Of course, Snellen couldn't make an eye chart full of only E's. or else all hos patients would have 20-10 vision. But Snellen realised that it was important to use the same letters many times on the eye charts, to ensure that the failure of an observer to identify a letter was based on a visual problem rather than the relative difficulty of a set of letters. Ian Bailey, Professor of Optometry and Director of the Low Vision Vloni at the University of California at Berkeley, says that it isnt so important whether an eye chart uses the easiest or most difficult letters. Most eye charts incorporate only ten different letters, ones that have the smallest range of difficulty. 

Today, manu eye charts do not start with an E - and there is no technical reason why they have to - but most still so. Dr. Stephen C Miller of the American Optometric Association suggests that the desire of optical companies ti have a standardised approach to the production of eye charts probably accounts fr the preponderance of E charts. 


And we're happy about it. It's a nice feeling to know that even if our vision is falling us miserably, we'll always get the top row right.

Doing artwork is fun. Not only at school , doing it at home during school holiday would be much more fun. Siblings can join together and complete the exercise faster rather than doing it alone. Lets check the simple steps of completing this artwork activity.


1.First thing first, draw flower shapes on a coloured paper. Draw leave shape too. You may sketch the layout of the overall positionings of the cutouts flowers, leaves, stems and vase on A3 paper.
2. Cut out you paper flowers and the leaves.
3.Use glue and arrange the cut out flowers and leaves on A3 paper.
4.Draw circle shape on sand paper to reflect as sand in the vase.
5.Use newspaper and cut freedomly and use glue and arrange it as per vase sketch.

Assalamualaikum and hi all,
I would like to thank my sister for forwarding these good tips. I am happy to share it with all of you, readers. Please take care of ourselves and May Allah protects us all the time.



1. What should a woman do if she finds herself in a situation where she was with a suspicious man in a lift when climbing through the apartment at night?
Experts advise: Log lift and press buttons for every level of your home. No one would dare to attack you in the lift it is stops at every level.

2. What should a woman do if she finds someone that is not recognized try to attack at home when she is alone ?
Experts advise: Run to the kitchen. You know where is the chili powder or turmeric in the store. Or where is the knife and the dish was. All of these objects may be swapped into a dangerous weapon. Throw all kitchen appliances to the attackers. Let things broke and let he cried as hard hearts. Remember, sound is an enemy to your attackers.

3. What should a woman do if she needs to take a taxi at night time?
Experts advise: Before entering into the taxi, take the taxi registration number. Use your phone to contact your family or your friends and give them the  taxi details in a language that can be understood by the taxi driver . Although none answering your call, you may pretend talking to someone over the phone. The taxi driver is now know someone has had enough he's information and would be in serious trouble if anything happens to you. He is now bound to make sure you get to the destination safely. 

4) What if the taxi driver swaps the guide path and entering the danger zone?
Experts advise: Use your handbag strap  to pull back the taxi driver's neck . He will feel suffocated in a few moments. In case you do not have handbag, pull the taxi's driver collar shirt. Upper portion shirt will also produce the same impression.



5. What should a woman do if she feels herself being followed at night time?
Experts advise: Go into the shops or premises. If the shops are not open at night, get into the ATM border. ATM is a place that has a safety guard. They also monitored by closed CCTV. None  would dare to attack you.

Being alert is the best weapon for a woman.
